Below at 1.18-1.27 you can see him protecting the injured with his shield, before he was shot. He died being a hero, acting in a way that give me hope for the human race. The world needs more people like him.

What a waste of an amazing human…but we all die. He chose the situation and the cause. I hope to die so well.

USA National Team

Its Nickelback but still cool. One of my followers is an all star on that team http://nerdofwar.tumblr.com/

The team was formed in 2012. James Etherington was the Captain of the team with Andre Sinou commanding the men on the field. In 2013, Andre Sinou became the Captain of the team.

The team had 29 people in 2012. In 2013, they had 150 try out for the team and 47 were taken to France where “Battle of the Nations” 2013 was held. This year looks like the team USA will have even more trying out, which will allow to bring a great quality to the field.
HMB has allowed the United States to see how it stacks up against the rest of the world in a very physical sport.

Andre Sinou:

"We have had the opportunity to make great friends with some fantastic people from all over the world that many of us would not have had the chance to do otherwise. The sport has pushed us to work on our minds bodies and skill as warriors and it has motivated many of our team to change their bodies to much higher physical standards.
Most of us in the US have enjoyed medieval combat for years. HMB has provided a great outlet for the United States on the world stage. We are enjoying this very much!”

how the hell will you move in this? how will you run? zombie survival, to me, is not about being strong enough to stand and fight, it’s to always be able to run and hide at the drop of the hat.

The armor weighs between 60-80lbs, same as average modern soldiers gear. They run for miles with full packs. I “know certain people” who can run, tumble, and do cartwheels in armor. Not something to wear in the zombie apocalypse if you are out of shape or untrained for sure. Also, it depends on the type of zombie. Shamblers are easy but rage zombies would make things tough and I would certainly prefer to run in that case.

my idea was the shambling hordes a la the battle of yonkers type of zombies. And i’m presuming the common person would not be able to do those things wearing 80 pounds of armor on top of weapons and other gear for any long periods of time more over, where would one get something like this commonly? repair it?

II don’t think the average person would stand a chance no matter what they had. Average people don’t wear armor for the zombie apocalypse, but me and many of my friends would (who would die because they are fatass, out of shape nerds). I train at a different level, however. You can buy armor from many places or have some made for you by many expert craftsmen around the world. The internet has made that possible. Human nails and teeth would not do anything to require repair of the armor. If you maintained it with oil and effort..or it is made from modern alloys like stainless steel or very expense “spring steel stainless” even the issues of rust would not be a problem.

I think that the average person would stand a better chance in modern gear than in a suit of armor, more over, in normal clothes but with a focus on cunning rather than combat. human teeth and nails could do that much to a few layers of tight fitting clothing, perhaps wrapped in duct tape or with a leather jacket, and it would weigh a whole lot less. However many crafts men there are in the world, you would have to have the suit at the ready, rather than if you go my route, you can go most stores to get what you need. Practically is key in any crisis, zombies or not.

as for the fitness, yes, running will be a problem for many, but if they are shambling zombies as i proposed, it’s not hard to run away from them, it’s the “they are always coming in increasingly large numbers” thing that is the problem. for that you don’t need plate mail, you need an escape plan and constant vigilance.

You are correct..but it would be fun while it lasted. untrained = “walking can of soup” and noise
